Pressure Treated Decking

We are looking for a specific type of client. Our remodeling goals not driven by the bottom dollar, rather the outcome of the individual projects we take on. Building our portfolio one project at a time, we consider design to be one of our most crucial stages in implementing a sucesseful remodeling plan.
This is an example of what a pressure treated deck can look like after just a few years of exposure to the elements.
                         Pressure Treated Decking
The substructure of any deck is always constructed out of pressure treated lumber. It is inexpensive and will hold up to the harsh elements of the Kansas City climate. In some cases pressure treated lumber is used for the entire construction of the deck. In the pictures above you see two very new decks that have been completely built out of pressure treated lumber. It is by far the most inexpensive method of building a new deck here in Kansas City. However, these decks don't stay beautiful for long. Over the years they color will fade and the lumber will twist, split, and warp worse than other typed of decking material. Below is a picture of an older deck that has come apart.

About two years ago a new product was introduced to the world. Yellawood is a pressure treated material that in more environmentally friendly that traditional treated material. It is also looks more like natural untreated lumber instead of the dark green you may have seen on older decks. How will this product hold up in the long run?  Only time will tell, if you would like more information on the product visit the link below.
